Star Wars: Threads of Destiny creator and director Rasmus Tirzitis joins us this time out on the Fan Film Podcast calling in from his home town of Trångsund, Stockholm. Set 100 years after “Return of the Jedi,” Threads of Destiny tells the story of the Jedi Order and the Republic once again active. The planet Coreign produces a special ore that can power an entire city, but the Skenvi empire is interested in its potential for supreme spaceship armor.
Interesting enough the films features some personalities I Sweden that includes Carolina Neurath, a Swedish journalist who portrays the character of Princess Arianna Ad’Lah and 1970’s Swedish rock musician and actor as King Juster. Juster was a member of the fairly well known Progg rock group Nationalteatern.
Threads of Destiny is a feature length film filled with some great special effects and lots and lots of green screen as well as location shooting. Just like your typical Hollywood movies it’s pretty apparent where the green screen is used. Even when watching the recent Avengers: Infinity War is was pretty clear the amount of green screen work that was done and where it was done.
As always Rasmus and the host go off on a few tangents about a couple summer movies, but overall it’s full Threads of Destiny ahead discussing the obstacles that went into putting this entire production together.
So if this summer’s Solo left bad taste in your mouth perhaps Threads of Destiny may cleanse the palate. And speaking of Solo I was able to catch a CAM version of the film in the past week. It wasn’t good and was pretty pleased I didn’t spend money to go see it in the theater. I don’t think the box office dictates Star Wars fatigue or had anything to do with all the drama behind the scenes. The box office dictates that it just wasn’t a very good film. That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it.
