I wrote a piece a while back in my Adult Child of Alien Invaders column titled Ten Fan Films That We’ll Never See. One of the films I pointed out in the article was Indiana Jones: Treasure of the Templars. It’s been two years since there was any talk of movement on the project so I assumed the whole thing was dead. That’s usually the story behind many of the most ambitious fan films. I’m pleased to see I was incorrect in my assumptions. Just a mere two days ago the official site made its first update since July of 2008 stating the project continues to move forward. Here’s what’s been completed according to their posting:
- Photography 100% complete (including pickups)Edit locked for Acts 1 and 2 (Act 3 almost locked)Digital FX ongoing
Music 2/3s recorded and currently being mixed
Overall movie 85 – 90% complete
The official Indiana Jones: Treasure of the Templars website.
I am so excited about this.
It’s been a year since I posted this. I’m hoping this is still moving forward.
I see that they STILL haven’t finished this. It’s probably safe to say it’s dead by now.
I think that’s a very safe bet.
