The new X-Men fan series that is currently being filmed is the definitive reason why I’m so into fan films to begin with. Hollywood would never do this. I’ve been aware of the production for a couple months now. I’ve also been shying away from posting any news items on the Fan Film Follies site about it as I wasn’t really sure if this thing could be pulled off or not. I’m still not totally convinced. The source material is on such an epic scale for such a none to small budget offering. But the team beyond this ‘juggernaut’ is impressing the hell out of me. Not only are they tackling a fully fledged X-Men story – they’re tackling the biggest X-Men story of all time in the “X”-Cannon being the Dark Phoenix saga. Make sure you LIKE their Facebook page for any current updates and of course you can always check back with the Fan Film Follies once the series premieres in order to take a peak.

this fan based film is what I have been waiting for. as a comic book reader I have been looking forward to a series like this that is close to the roots of what the X-Men should be and not influenced by Hollywood. So Im very excited to see this as a whole.

The acting is cheesy and the only really attractive person is Dazzler, Kitty Pride, and Prof. X. Jean Grey/Phoenix was super hot in the comics and they shouldn’t have chosen someone so average looking to play that role. She doesn’t command attention well. Also, it wouldve been nice if her hair was really red instead of obviously dyed. Hoping it gets better!

This is the bomb! I love the cast. especially Prof X, Omg. SO HOTT. And Wolverine, this is how I’d expect Logan to act. But that Jean should be my mate, I’d expect that kind of crude shit from Sabertooth. Not Wolverine. Remember Logan’s a Samurai in his own right. Yea he loves jean but please. Storm is beautiful, move over Ms. Berry, our Storm is beautiful and has an african accent. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
