Reallusion™ Hosts The 2nd Annual iClone Filmmaking Competition




Real-time movie making and next generation machinima have never been so easy for movie enthusiasts with iClone4 – now users have the opportunity to show off their talents and participate in a worldwide event!

San Jose, CA (April 14, 2010) — Reallusion, the award-winning leader of 3D Cinematic tools for consumers, students and professionals, announces today that it is hosting the 2nd Annual iClone Filmmaking Competition. For a second year in a row, Reallusion brings another movie making competition where users from all skill levels join to compete for over $10,000 in prizes.

Last year Reallusion held the first iClone Filmmaking Competition, which was themed on War & Peace and attracted hundreds of users along with receiving almost 100 movie submissions. (http://www.reallusion.com/event/09_war_peace) The War & Peace Machinima Filmmaking Competition brought resounding success as it provided a unique and open platform for movie artists, of all levels, to participate in a worldwide movie-making event.

This year, Reallusion has once again put together another hit competition for movie fan film artists, scriptwriters, storytellers, machinimists, amateur film makers, video editors and Sci-Fi enthusiasts alike. The 2010 competition shall be themed on Science Fiction and is scheduled to run from April 14th to July the 4th.

Would-be contestants will have the opportunity to showcase their movie making talents by competing for 10 award winning categories, including; Best Picture, Best Movie Tribute, Best Screenplay, Best Visual FX, Best Sound FX and others. A variety of award and prizes have been provided, by several branded sponsors, that will undoubtedly bring high interest to the competition. Movie submissions will be judged on several criteria such as; quality, creativity and exceptional effort.

To compete, contestants just need to fill-out the submission form with their movie title, movie description, credits, contact information and uploaded YouTube movie URL. Sci-Fi Movies must be created with Reallusion’s iClone 3D movie machine software and need to be no longer than 10 minutes. Anyone is eligible to compete as iClone has a very user friendly interface and is available in a free EX trial version at Reallusion’s website. Reallusion has also released a free Sci-Fi Content Pack for users to benefit during the competition. Movie ideas may range from movie tributes, to machinima/media mashups, or original drama and adventure stories.
