Red Fist Productions and Made Legit Media (Marvel Knights: Spider-Man) have launched the teaser and Indiegogo campaign for the next episode of their live-action prequel to Batman Beyond. Titled Batman: Master of Fear, the web series debuted last fall to a flurry of positive reaction videos from the likes of Tyrone Magnus. Red Fist and Made Legit are now raising $5,000 to produce the next episode, which will show Batman front and center, as both a detective and martial artist. As of this writing, over a quarter of their goal has been reached.
As stated on their campaign page:
“We’re huge fans of Batman: The Animated Series, and we wanted to do our own live-action take on the character. We are excited to reinvent Batman (in look, fighting style, and overall characterization) and his universe (into more of a Gothic Horror feel). On top of that, we wanted to create an original story that is not based on any previous Batman work. That’s why we also wanted to introduce a new villain to the fans. We’ve been working on this show 100% for over two years because we know that it will be something the fans will love.”
The show will resume filming this June in Atlanta.
