Catwoman Summer Project
July 14, 2010
What did you do on your summer vacation? Answers you may hear will vary, but do you hear someone shout out they’re going to devote their whole summer to the DC comic book character Catwoman designing costumes and using those costumes to plan photo shoots and make short films. Honestly! I haven’t heard that to date until now. Amber Moelter is no stranger to the character of Catwoman playing the sometimes Batman adversary in her past fan film efforts Copycat and Resolutions. This summer Amber is taking her feline fetish to a whole new level with her “Catwoman Summer Project“.
“In 2004 I was cast in a short Catwoman fan film that, unfortunately was never completed. But it garnered press and fans from all over the world . It was probably because of the black Polymorphe latex catsuit a la Michelle Pfeiffer.
In 2005-2006 I got a few friends together and made my own Catwoman/Selina Kyle short film, ‘Catwoman: Resolution’. It was the first time I worked with Vex Clothing in Chicago to make the amazing purple and black latex catsuit and corset inspired by Jim Balent’s ‘Catwoman: Guardian of Gotham’.
I took a few years off from Catwoman to produce and direct the feature film ‘Dirty Step Upstage’, but I always wanted to return to the character to do something fun and different. Earlier in the year I posted a poll to see if there was interest for another Catwoman project. There was.
My original intention was to do another short film, but my summer is already a little hectic with new music production for Girl In The Red Dress and the distribution and marketing of ‘Dirty Step Upstage’. So, after a bit of brainstorming I am happy to announce Catwoman Summer Project 2010.
This is your chance to get exactly the Catwoman you’ve always wanted. All you need to do is start posting pictures on the Facebook page, whether they are original or taken from comic books, TV, or film. Let your voice and vision be heard.
I’ll select the fan favorites and employ Vex Clothing to make a custom latex version of the winning designs. I’ll post pictures of the whole process – all the way through to the photo shoot. If you’re near the Chicago area and want to get involved, go on the Facebook Page and let us know!”

A second trailer for the Fallen film has been released. Director Dan Marcus is currently in post-production on his superhero short film entitled Fallen. The original superhero film focuses a character named Ephraim who after having a change of heart turns his back on the city he swore to protect. The Fallen is a 15 minute short film with a $30,000 budget that was shot on location in Chicago, Illinois right where they shot the convoy chase for The Dark Knight. Parts of the film were also shot in Gary, Indiana. A release date for the film hasn’t yet been determined, but it is expected to be completed sometime in 2010.

Tomb Raider: Sumeria
June 27, 2010
Coming out of France is a new Tomb Raider fan film. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a Lara Croft fan production. The official website describes the plot as follows:
“7000 years ago, the Sumerian civilization, from Mesopotamia, invented religions, laws and scripture. Its language remained undecipherable for thousands of years, and nowadays very few people are skilled to read it. Nobody knows why this civilization disappeared, but its heritage is tremendously important…
In 1995, the archeologist John Berjerack found a mysterious tablet on the land which was once the Sumerian kingdom. He studied it during 6 months until he inexplicably went missing.
The tablet was preserved in a museum until a mysterious tomb raider named Pierre Dupont stole it.
A person working for a powerful organization, Metalium Corp., meets Evan Caillère, an expert in Sumerian myths. Looking at some photographs of the tablet, Evan Caillère confirms the result of Berjerack’s researches: it contains an old Sumerian language. Then Evan Caillère is asked to decipher the tablet as fast as he can. Answering to his visitor, Caillère says he knows someone experienced enough to chase Pierre Dupont… her name is Lara Croft.
Spelling out the tablet, Evan reads: “The Stele Stone is the origin for their absolute power, our city is just a haven, a base for a great journey”.
Lara Croft agrees to catch Pierre Dupont and to retrieve the tablet. With the help of Evan Caillère, she goes to Mesopotamia. It seems that Lara’s rival wants the stele stone relic. Why ? What for ? What are the relic powers ?
Lara will chase him from a lost jungle, location which has no reason to be, to ancient town ruins, where she will discover all the truth about the stele stone…And fight again with her best rival, Pierre Dupont…
