Shortly after arriving in Howbury it seems that the Doctor is under attack by an invisible force. A sinister, cloaked figure is homing in on him, dark storm-clouds are building over the village, and a future Doctor and Charlotte also seem to be ensnared, in a distant, bleak and hostile wilderness that seems far removed from the rural tranquility of Howbury village…or is it?
