Robin Origins

Do you like fan films? Do you want to see Dick Grayson shoot up a bunch of bad guys? Do you want to see a man catch on fire? Do you want to hear Batman and Alfred with a French accent? Then you’ve come to the right place. The fan film Robin Origins has all these things.

Gotham City, a rainy day. Revenge, drugs and violence rule. A daily occurrence in the Bat’s wake, transforming the city into a battlefield. In the middle of this urban anarchy, a young gypsy, hiding in the shade exacts his revenge. Somewhere between fantasy and reality, an alternative story of Batman’s shadow unfolds.

Funny enough, origins isn’t exactly an origin story. And there’s really not much to the story to the point that in some cases the short film doesn’t make a lot of sense. It does look pretty. The production behind Origins is top notch. It’s just weird, but in a good way.

I try to keep my write-ups at 300 words or more as dictated to be incorporated in the Google News Feed. Something I’ve been trying to do for a while. That is the main reason I’ve been going back to do full articles on all the movies on the Fan Film Follies site in hopes to get onto that feed and get more eyes pointed to the site. Hard to do the whole 300 word thing with Robin Origins as there just isn’t that much to it. So that is the reason I’m now writing in a tangent.

Only 41 words left. What can I type about for 41 words? I must think. I mean 41 words I could comment on a lot of things. We could talk about the weather or our current political climate. Let’s do this instead. Robin Origins, a short film you should check out. Look at that! 315 words!
