Red Hood: The Fallen

We all remember Jason Todd, correct? A majority of fans didn’t like Jason Todd very much. Jason replaced Dick Grayson as the new Robin way back in 1983. The character was not so well received with a lot of comic book fans. DC had a phone in poll to determine if he would be killed off in the Batman books or not. It was almost a split decision. 5,271 fans wanted him to live and 5,343 fans wanted him to take a dirt nap. This brought about the now classic storyline “A Death in the Family.” From the ashes of that storyline a new character emerges.

Following the Death of Batman, a new vigilante hits Gotham, hell bent on fulfilling redemption, over a classic Enemy.

The character of the Red Hood first appears in 2005 in the pages of Batman #635 this time making Jason Todd out to be a far more interesting character. Jason Todd has been resurrected by Ra’s al Ghul’s Lazarus Pit and begins a one man crusade in Gotham city against the evils that dwell there.

In Red Hood: The Fallen the character is brought to live action playing a bit of a parallel to what happened in the original comics. Todd is after the Joker, the villain that originally killed him by beating him to death with a crow bar. Not exactly a fun way to go.

There is supposed to be a sequel to this fan film down the pipe line. The last update on the project was the summer of 2017. It really hasn’t been that long ago so interested to see if this is really going to happen or not. Keeping fingers and toes and pointed ears crossed.

Alright fanboys and girls, bathe in the greatness that is Red Hood: The Fallen. I am off to spotlight another great fan film. My work is never done!

UPDATED MARCH 2018
