I’m sure fans of fan films have heard of the recent Power Rangers production that was posted online and then forced offline by Vimeo and YouTube by requests of the original Rangers copyright holder, Saban. It didn’t take very long for some fan outcry for Saban to have a change of heart from both video sites and allow the film back up with certain verbiage stipulations in the form of stating, “Not a pilot, not a series, not for profit, strictly for exhibition.” Isn’t that the point of Fan Films to begin with?
