Batman: Puppet Master

Puppet Master takes place in the same universe as the Christopher Nolan films this time out exploring the villains Riddler, Scarface and Victor Zsasz. Batman is on the run and being hunted by the police due to the events that occurred at the end of The Dark Knight.

In the months following the death of Harvey Dent, Batman, still a wanted fugitive, is pushed to his limits as a new crime wave hits Gotham. Batman’s search to find who’s responsible leads him to a showdown with the masochistic serial killer Victor Zsasz. Meanwhile Gotham’s newest crime boss, a mysterious figure known as Scarface, has a meeting with Edward Nigma, an FBI agent, sworn to bring down Batman at all costs.

I do enjoy the Nolan films, but Christian Bale’s Batman voice was always too much to the point of hysterics. You’ve seen countless videos of people making fun of this fact I’m sure. To credit this fan film the Batman voice remains in the form of actor Michael Connolly. It was always a bizarre choice for the original trilogy.

Wil Daniels does a fantastic job in his portrayal of Edward Nigma a.k.a. the Riddler. This time out the Riddler is a federal agent. Frank Birney is Arnold Wesker with John Di Crosta playing the voice of his on the money, multiple personality Scarface. Justin Mortelliti brings it home with his character Victor Zsasz. All three actors make this fan film. All their performances are interesting to watch.

It’s always interesting to look through the IMDB page of these particular fan films. Although they’re not anywhere in the realm we would deem famous it’s cool to see the television shows and movies these actors show up in. They usually play small parts or are just background extras, but to me that is pretty cool to be involved in those types of productions. The same holds true for the people who show up in Puppet Master.

So make sure you watch this fan film, dummy.
