As an admirer of classic Animes and Mangas David is now working on his new project called Captain Future (Live Action Anime) inspired by the SCI-FI Classic created by Edmond Hamilton and the Japanese Anime from the 70′s. The main character is Curtis Newton, a brilliant scientist and adventurer who roams the solar system solving problems, righting wrongs, and vanquishing futuristic supervillains.

The hero himself had many incarnations and different features, depending on various artist’s impressions, my project takes places 5 years after the events described in the Novels and the Anime.

As an extra special scoop, while David is finishing post-production of Captain Future he’s also started pre-production on a live version of Mobile Armored Strike Kommand or what every 80’s youth knows as to be M.A.S.K. Principal photography will begin in two months time. We’ll keep you updated on his progress.

This year the convention will be held over Memorial Day weekend (May 24th through the 27th) at the Phoenix Convention Center and Hyatt Regency. Last year approximately 25,000 people were in attendance and this year the organizers are predicting that number to double.

Part of the content of the convention is the film festival itself. They do not charge admission to the films. There is only a membership fee for folks who attend the convention. Convention attendees can view the films on a first come first served basis.

The deadline for submissions is March 31st, 2012. This gives the film staff the months of April and May to screen the films and set the festival’s schedule.

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:

Several Years after Gotham has been saved from the treacherous hold of Bane, Batman continues his crusade now realizing the day won’t come when Gotham no longer needs Batman. He now struggles to bring down Roman Sionis’s Criminal Syndicate known as “The Society” and deals with constant run ins with Selina Kyle, who his relationship with has now faded away. Meanwhile in Arkham Asylum Renowned Psychiatrist Dr. Harleen Quinzel has been appointed over the therapy of The Joker. As Quinzel begins her sessions she is pulled into The Joker’s world of chaos and madness. With these events taking place The President of the United States has sent in Task Force X to help clean up his hometown of Gotham City and restore the city to a time without crime and despair. This includes another well known Psychiatrist developing a full profile on The Batman in hopes of bringing the Vigilante down once and for all. But after The Joker escapes and thrusts Gotham into a time of terrorism and chaos once again, killing thousands with his antics; The President orders anyone associated or suspected of crime be eradicated. Now The Dark Knight must fight against two evils in hopes of bringing true justice to Gotham and complete his crusade. And it all leads to one final showdown in the battle for Gotham’s soul.

This story takes place in the NOLAN-VERSE of Batman. It picks up directly after the events depicted in Nolan’s final movie The Dark Knight Rises and is then jumps forward several years after Bane is defeated and Gotham begins to be restored once again. It is set in the latter days of Bruce Wayne’s time as Batman.

The Nightwing Barrage commences with the uploading of “The Visit“, in which Dick Grayson (Jon Caballero) is visited by an old friend who brings with him warnings and words of encouragement. Features the official debut of our new D.P. Bobby Sansivero and Jon Caballero as Master Richard himself!!

In a few days, it continues as Diana Cherkas debuts as Helena Bertinelli/The Huntress, confronting Batman (Abe Danz) as he sneaks his way into her apartment searching for murder evidence of a killing Huntress may be implicated in. Then, it continues once more as Nightwing warns Catwoman/Selina Kyle (Frances Brennand Roper) to stay out of his city of Bludhaven for her thievery.

On December 20th, “Calloway” finally receives its long-awaited release.

The 60-second trailer for ‘Third Base’, which is set on a Mars research station, was filmed in Sydney in a single day with a micro-crew of six people. Winning the $100,000 production prize would enable the ‘Third Base’ team to turn the trailer into a full web series of seven three-minute episodes.

Synopsis:
17-year-old Riley (Alexander Fechine) is forced to tag along with his father and relocate to Third Base – a remote scientific research station on Mars. Living in close, climate-controlled quarters with 30 scientists, engineers and their families is hardly how Riley envisioned spending his teen years – and he is determined to cause enough trouble to get sent home.

STORY

Mercenary with the doubtful reputation named T.J. reluctantly leads a group of most unorganized people in the world. There are only 4 people in this group who know something about combat and war, while others… Mario, Santa Claus, Ali G and Harry Potter have no idea what war means or even how to hold a weapon. Latter the group discovers, that they are on an alien planet that acts as a game preserve to which they are being hunted by a merciless race of aliens known as Rabitors. Will this most unorganized team manage to survive or not you will find out in January 2012.

HISTORY

The main idea behind the “Rabitors” plot is to show, how the hunt would go, if the pray of hunters consisted not only from military charters, but also from the fictional characters, like Mario. How would the fictional and military characters get along and what is more important, would they be able to survive or not?

Movie “Rabitors” was shoot in august 2010. If to be more specific, it was shot in 3.5 days. Reason to that was the full employment of the actors, and movie director managed to get only 3 days, when all of the actors would be able to attend the shooting area. The last day of shooting lasted for 12 hours without any breaks.
